Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, |
1 παῦλος ἀπόστολος χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ διὰ θελήματος θεοῦ κατ᾽ ἐπαγγελίαν ζωῆς τῆς ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ |
| 1:2 a Timoteo, amado hijo: Gracia, misericordia y paz, de Dios Padre y de Jesucristo nuestro Señor. |
To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. |
2 τιμοθέῳ ἀγαπητῶ τέκνῳ· χάρις, ἔλεος, εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς καὶ χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν. |
| 1:3 Doy gracias a Dios, al cual sirvo desde mis mayores con limpia conciencia, de que sin cesar me acuerdo de ti en mis oraciones noche y día; |
I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; |
3 χάριν ἔχω τῶ θεῶ, ᾧ λατρεύω ἀπὸ προγόνων ἐν καθαρᾷ συνειδήσει, ὡς ἀδιάλειπτον ἔχω τὴν περὶ σοῦ μνείαν ἐν ταῖς δεήσεσίν μου νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας, |
| 1:4 deseando verte, al acordarme de tus lágrimas, para llenarme de gozo; |
Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; |
4 ἐπιποθῶν σε ἰδεῖν, μεμνημένος σου τῶν δακρύων, ἵνα χαρᾶς πληρωθῶ, |
| 1:5 trayendo a la memoria la fe no fingida que hay en ti, la cual habitó primero en tu abuela Loida, y en tu madre Eunice, y estoy seguro que en ti también. |
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. |
5 ὑπόμνησιν λαβὼν τῆς ἐν σοὶ ἀνυποκρίτου πίστεως, ἥτις ἐνῴκησεν πρῶτον ἐν τῇ μάμμῃ σου λωΐδι καὶ τῇ μητρί σου εὐνίκῃ, πέπεισμαι δὲ ὅτι καὶ ἐν σοί. |
| 1:6 Por lo cual te aconsejo que avives el fuego del don de Dios que está en ti por la imposición de mis manos. |
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. |
6 δι᾽ ἣν αἰτίαν ἀναμιμνῄσκω σε ἀναζωπυρεῖν τὸ χάρισμα τοῦ θεοῦ, ὅ ἐστιν ἐν σοὶ διὰ τῆς ἐπιθέσεως τῶν χειρῶν μου· |
| 1:7 Porque no nos ha dado Dios espíritu de cobardía, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio. |
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |
7 οὐ γὰρ ἔδωκεν ἡμῖν ὁ θεὸς πνεῦμα δειλίας, ἀλλὰ δυνάμεως καὶ ἀγάπης καὶ σωφρονισμοῦ. |
| 1:8 Por tanto, no te avergüences de dar testimonio de nuestro Señor, ni de mí, preso suyo, sino participa de las aflicciones por el evangelio según el poder de Dios, |
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; |
8 μὴ οὗν ἐπαισχυνθῇς τὸ μαρτύριον τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μηδὲ ἐμὲ τὸν δέσμιον αὐτοῦ, ἀλλὰ συγκακοπάθησον τῶ εὐαγγελίῳ κατὰ δύναμιν θεοῦ, |
| 1:9 quien nos salvó y llamó con llamamiento santo, no conforme a nuestras obras, sino según el propósito suyo y la gracia que nos fue dada en Cristo Jesús antes de los tiempos de los siglos, |
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, |
9 τοῦ σώσαντος ἡμᾶς καὶ καλέσαντος κλήσει ἁγίᾳ, οὐ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ κατὰ ἰδίαν πρόθεσιν καὶ χάριν, τὴν δοθεῖσαν ἡμῖν ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ πρὸ χρόνων αἰωνίων, |
| 1:10 pero que ahora ha sido manifestada por la aparición de nuestro Salvador Jesucristo, el cual quitó la muerte y sacó a luz la vida y la inmortalidad por el evangelio, |
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: |
10 φανερωθεῖσαν δὲ νῦν διὰ τῆς ἐπιφανείας τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ, καταργήσαντος μὲν τὸν θάνατον φωτίσαντος δὲ ζωὴν καὶ ἀφθαρσίαν διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, |
| 1:11 del cual yo fui constituido predicador, apóstol y maestro de los gentiles. |
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. |
11 εἰς ὃ ἐτέθην ἐγὼ κῆρυξ καὶ ἀπόστολος καὶ διδάσκαλος. |
| 1:12 Por lo cual asimismo padezco esto; pero no me avergüenzo, porque yo sé a quién he creído, y estoy seguro que es poderoso para guardar mi depósito para aquel día. |
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. |
12 δι᾽ ἣν αἰτίαν καὶ ταῦτα πάσχω, ἀλλ᾽ οὐκ ἐπαισχύνομαι, οἶδα γὰρ ᾧ πεπίστευκα, καὶ πέπεισμαι ὅτι δυνατός ἐστιν τὴν παραθήκην μου φυλάξαι εἰς ἐκείνην τὴν ἡμέραν. |
| 1:13 Retén la forma de las sanas palabras que de mí oíste, en la fe y amor que es en Cristo Jesús. |
Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. |
13 ὑποτύπωσιν ἔχε ὑγιαινόντων λόγων ὧν παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἤκουσας ἐν πίστει καὶ ἀγάπῃ τῇ ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ· |
| 1:14 Guarda el buen depósito por el Espíritu Santo que mora en nosotros. |
That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. |
14 τὴν καλὴν παραθήκην φύλαξον διὰ πνεύματος ἁγίου τοῦ ἐνοικοῦντος ἐν ἡμῖν. |
| 1:15 Ya sabes esto, que me abandonaron todos los que están en Asia, de los cuales son Figelo y Hermógenes. |
This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. |
15 οἶδας τοῦτο, ὅτι ἀπεστράφησάν με πάντες οἱ ἐν τῇ ἀσίᾳ, ὧν ἐστιν φύγελος καὶ ἑρμογένης. |
| 1:16 Tenga el Señor misericordia de la casa de Onesíforo, porque muchas veces me confortó, y no se avergonzó de mis cadenas, |
The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: |
16 δῴη ἔλεος ὁ κύριος τῶ ὀνησιφόρου οἴκῳ, ὅτι πολλάκις με ἀνέψυξεν καὶ τὴν ἅλυσίν μου οὐκ ἐπαισχύνθη, |
| 1:17 sino que cuando estuvo en Roma, me buscó solícitamente y me halló. |
But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. |
17 ἀλλὰ γενόμενος ἐν ῥώμῃ σπουδαίως ἐζήτησέν με καὶ εὖρεν |
| 1:18 Concédale el Señor que halle misericordia cerca del Señor en aquel día. Y cuánto nos ayudó en Efeso, tú lo sabes mejor. |
The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well. |
18 _ δῴη αὐτῶ ὁ κύριος εὑρεῖν ἔλεος παρὰ κυρίου ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ _ καὶ ὅσα ἐν ἐφέσῳ διηκόνησεν, βέλτιον σὺ γινώσκεις. |
| 2:1 Tú, pues, hijo mío, esfuérzate en la gracia que es en Cristo Jesús. |
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |
1 σὺ οὗν, τέκνον μου, ἐνδυναμοῦ ἐν τῇ χάριτι τῇ ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ, |
| 2:2 Lo que has oído de mí ante muchos testigos, esto encarga a hombres fieles que sean idóneos para enseñar también a otros. |
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. |
2 καὶ ἃ ἤκουσας παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ διὰ πολλῶν μαρτύρων, ταῦτα παράθου πιστοῖς ἀνθρώποις, οἵτινες ἱκανοὶ ἔσονται καὶ ἑτέρους διδάξαι. |
| 2:3 Tú, pues, sufre penalidades como buen soldado de Jesucristo. |
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. |
3 συγκακοπάθησον ὡς καλὸς στρατιώτης χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ. |
| 2:4 Ninguno que milita se enreda en los negocios de la vida, a fin de agradar a aquel que lo tomó por soldado. |
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. |
4 οὐδεὶς στρατευόμενος ἐμπλέκεται ταῖς τοῦ βίου πραγματείαις, ἵνα τῶ στρατολογήσαντι ἀρέσῃ· |
| 2:5 Y también el que lucha como atleta, no es coronado si no lucha legítimamente. |
And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. |
5 ἐὰν δὲ καὶ ἀθλῇ τις, οὐ στεφανοῦται ἐὰν μὴ νομίμως ἀθλήσῃ. |
| 2:6 El labrador, para participar de los frutos, debe trabajar primero. |
The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. |
6 τὸν κοπιῶντα γεωργὸν δεῖ πρῶτον τῶν καρπῶν μεταλαμβάνειν. |
| 2:7 Considera lo que digo, y el Señor te dé entendimiento en todo. |
Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. |
7 νόει ὃ λέγω· δώσει γάρ σοι ὁ κύριος σύνεσιν ἐν πᾶσιν. |
| 2:8 Acuérdate de Jesucristo, del linaje de David, resucitado de los muertos conforme a mi evangelio, |
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: |
8 μνημόνευε ἰησοῦν χριστὸν ἐγηγερμένον ἐκ νεκρῶν, ἐκ σπέρματος δαυίδ, κατὰ τὸ εὐαγγέλιόν μου· |
| 2:9 en el cual sufro penalidades, hasta prisiones a modo de malhechor; mas la palabra de Dios no está presa. |
Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. |
9 ἐν ᾧ κακοπαθῶ μέχρι δεσμῶν ὡς κακοῦργος, ἀλλὰ ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ οὐ δέδεται. |
| 2:10 Por tanto, todo lo soporto por amor de los escogidos, para que ellos también obtengan la salvación que es en Cristo Jesús con gloria eterna. |
Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. |
10 διὰ τοῦτο πάντα ὑπομένω διὰ τοὺς ἐκλεκτούς, ἵνα καὶ αὐτοὶ σωτηρίας τύχωσιν τῆς ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ μετὰ δόξης αἰωνίου. |
| 2:11 Palabra fiel es esta: Si somos muertos con él, también viviremos con él; |
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: |
11 πιστὸς ὁ λόγος· εἰ γὰρ συναπεθάνομεν, καὶ συζήσομεν· |
| 2:12 Si sufrimos, también reinaremos con él; Si le negáremos, él también nos negará. |
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: |
12 εἰ ὑπομένομεν, καὶ συμβασιλεύσομεν· εἰ ἀρνησόμεθα, κἀκεῖνος ἀρνήσεται ἡμᾶς· |
| 2:13 Si fuéremos infieles, él permanece fiel; El no puede negarse a sí mismo. |
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. |
13 εἰ ἀπιστοῦμεν, ἐκεῖνος πιστὸς μένει, ἀρνήσασθαι γὰρ ἑαυτὸν οὐ δύναται. |
| 2:14 Recuérdales esto, exhortándoles delante del Señor a que no contiendan sobre palabras, lo cual para nada aprovecha, sino que es para perdición de los oyentes. |
Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. |
14 ταῦτα ὑπομίμνῃσκε, διαμαρτυρόμενος ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ μὴ λογομαχεῖν, ἐπ᾽ οὐδὲν χρήσιμον, ἐπὶ καταστροφῇ τῶν ἀκουόντων. |
| 2:15 Procura con diligencia presentarte a Dios aprobado, como obrero que no tiene de qué avergonzarse, que usa bien la palabra de verdad. |
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
15 σπούδασον σεαυτὸν δόκιμον παραστῆσαι τῶ θεῶ, ἐργάτην ἀνεπαίσχυντον, ὀρθοτομοῦντα τὸν λόγον τῆς ἀληθείας. |
| 2:16 Mas evita profanas y vanas palabrerías, porque conducirán más y más a la impiedad. |
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. |
16 τὰς δὲ βεβήλους κενοφωνίας περιΐστασο· ἐπὶ πλεῖον γὰρ προκόψουσιν ἀσεβείας, |
| 2:17 Y su palabra carcomerá como gangrena; de los cuales son Himeneo y Fileto, |
And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; |
17 καὶ ὁ λόγος αὐτῶν ὡς γάγγραινα νομὴν ἕξει· ὧν ἐστιν ὑμέναιος καὶ φίλητος, |
| 2:18 que se desviaron de la verdad, diciendo que la resurrección ya se efectuó, y trastornan la fe de algunos. |
Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. |
18 οἵτινες περὶ τὴν ἀλήθειαν ἠστόχησαν, λέγοντες τὴν ἀνάστασιν ἤδη γεγονέναι, καὶ ἀνατρέπουσιν τήν τινων πίστιν. |
| 2:19 Pero el fundamento de Dios está firme, teniendo este sello: Conoce el Señor a los que son suyos; y: Apártese de iniquidad todo aquel que invoca el nombre de Cristo. |
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. |
19 ὁ μέντοι στερεὸς θεμέλιος τοῦ θεοῦ ἕστηκεν, ἔχων τὴν σφραγῖδα ταύτην· ἔγνω κύριος τοὺς ὄντας αὐτοῦ, καί, ἀποστήτω ἀπὸ ἀδικίας πᾶς ὁ ὀνομάζων τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου. |
| 2:20 Pero en una casa grande, no solamente hay utensilios de oro y de plata, sino también de madera y de barro; y unos son para usos honrosos, y otros para usos viles. |
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. |
20 ἐν μεγάλῃ δὲ οἰκίᾳ οὐκ ἔστιν μόνον σκεύη χρυσᾶ καὶ ἀργυρᾶ ἀλλὰ καὶ ξύλινα καὶ ὀστράκινα, καὶ ἃ μὲν εἰς τιμὴν ἃ δὲ εἰς ἀτιμίαν· |
| 2:21 Así que, si alguno se limpia de estas cosas, será instrumento para honra, santificado, útil al Señor, y dispuesto para toda buena obra. |
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. |
21 ἐὰν οὗν τις ἐκκαθάρῃ ἑαυτὸν ἀπὸ τούτων, ἔσται σκεῦος εἰς τιμήν, ἡγιασμένον, εὔχρηστον τῶ δεσπότῃ, εἰς πᾶν ἔργον ἀγαθὸν ἡτοιμασμένον. |
| 2:22 Huye también de las pasiones juveniles, y sigue la justicia, la fe, el amor y la paz, con los que de corazón limpio invocan al Señor. |
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. |
22 τὰς δὲ νεωτερικὰς ἐπιθυμίας φεῦγε, δίωκε δὲ δικαιοσύνην, πίστιν, ἀγάπην, εἰρήνην μετὰ τῶν ἐπικαλουμένων τὸν κύριον ἐκ καθαρᾶς καρδίας. |
| 2:23 Pero desecha las cuestiones necias e insensatas, sabiendo que engendran contiendas. |
But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. |
23 τὰς δὲ μωρὰς καὶ ἀπαιδεύτους ζητήσεις παραιτοῦ, εἰδὼς ὅτι γεννῶσιν μάχας· |
| 2:24 Porque el siervo del Señor no debe ser contencioso, sino amable para con todos, apto para enseñar, sufrido; |
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, |
24 δοῦλον δὲ κυρίου οὐ δεῖ μάχεσθαι, ἀλλὰ ἤπιον εἶναι πρὸς πάντας, διδακτικόν, ἀνεξίκακον, |
| 2:25 que con mansedumbre corrija a los que se oponen, por si quizá Dios les conceda que se arrepientan para conocer la verdad, |
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; |
25 ἐν πραΰτητι παιδεύοντα τοὺς ἀντιδιατιθεμένους, μήποτε δώῃ αὐτοῖς ὁ θεὸς μετάνοιαν εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν ἀληθείας, |
| 2:26 y escapen del lazo del diablo, en que están cautivos a voluntad de él. |
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. |
26 καὶ ἀνανήψωσιν ἐκ τῆς τοῦ διαβόλου παγίδος, ἐζωγρημένοι ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ ἐκείνου θέλημα. |
| 3:1 También debes saber esto: que en los postreros días vendrán tiempos peligrosos. |
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. |
1 τοῦτο δὲ γίνωσκε, ὅτι ἐν ἐσχάταις ἡμέραις ἐνστήσονται καιροὶ χαλεποί· |
| 3:2 Porque habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, vanagloriosos, soberbios, blasfemos, desobedientes a los padres, ingratos, impíos, |
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, |
2 ἔσονται γὰρ οἱ ἄνθρωποι φίλαυτοι, φιλάργυροι, ἀλαζόνες, ὑπερήφανοι, βλάσφημοι, γονεῦσιν ἀπειθεῖς, ἀχάριστοι, ἀνόσιοι, |
| 3:3 sin afecto natural, implacables, calumniadores, intemperantes, crueles, aborrecedores de lo bueno, |
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, |
3 ἄστοργοι, ἄσπονδοι, διάβολοι, ἀκρατεῖς, ἀνήμεροι, ἀφιλάγαθοι, |
| 3:4 traidores, impetuosos, infatuados, amadores de los deleites más que de Dios, |
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; |
4 προδόται, προπετεῖς, τετυφωμένοι, φιλήδονοι μᾶλλον ἢ φιλόθεοι, |
| 3:5 que tendrán apariencia de piedad, pero negarán la eficacia de ella; a éstos evita. |
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. |
5 ἔχοντες μόρφωσιν εὐσεβείας τὴν δὲ δύναμιν αὐτῆς ἠρνημένοι· καὶ τούτους ἀποτρέπου. |
| 3:6 Porque de éstos son los que se meten en las casas y llevan cautivas a las mujercillas cargadas de pecados, arrastradas por diversas concupiscencias. |
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, |
6 ἐκ τούτων γάρ εἰσιν οἱ ἐνδύνοντες εἰς τὰς οἰκίας καὶ αἰχμαλωτίζοντες γυναικάρια σεσωρευμένα ἁμαρτίαις, ἀγόμενα ἐπιθυμίαις ποικίλαις, |
| 3:7 Estas siempre están aprendiendo, y nunca pueden llegar al conocimiento de la verdad. |
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. |
7 πάντοτε μανθάνοντα καὶ μηδέποτε εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν ἀληθείας ἐλθεῖν δυνάμενα. |
| 3:8 Y de la manera que Janes y Jambres resistieron a Moisés, así también éstos resisten a la verdad; hombres corruptos de entendimiento, réprobos en cuanto a la fe. |
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. |
8 ὃν τρόπον δὲ ἰάννης καὶ ἰαμβρῆς ἀντέστησαν μωϊσεῖ, οὕτως καὶ οὖτοι ἀνθίστανται τῇ ἀληθείᾳ, ἄνθρωποι κατεφθαρμένοι τὸν νοῦν, ἀδόκιμοι περὶ τὴν πίστιν· |
| 3:9 Mas no irán más adelante; porque su insensatez será manifiesta a todos, como también lo fue la de aquéllos. |
But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. |
9 ἀλλ᾽ οὐ προκόψουσιν ἐπὶ πλεῖον, ἡ γὰρ ἄνοια αὐτῶν ἔκδηλος ἔσται πᾶσιν, ὡς καὶ ἡ ἐκείνων ἐγένετο. |
| 3:10 Pero tú has seguido mi doctrina, conducta, propósito, fe, longanimidad, amor, paciencia, |
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, |
10 σὺ δὲ παρηκολούθησάς μου τῇ διδασκαλίᾳ, τῇ ἀγωγῇ, τῇ προθέσει, τῇ πίστει, τῇ μακροθυμίᾳ, τῇ ἀγάπῃ, τῇ ὑπομονῇ, |
| 3:11 persecuciones, padecimientos, como los que me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, en Iconio, en Listra; persecuciones que he sufrido, y de todas me ha librado el Señor. |
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. |
11 τοῖς διωγμοῖς, τοῖς παθήμασιν, οἷά μοι ἐγένετο ἐν ἀντιοχείᾳ, ἐν ἰκονίῳ, ἐν λύστροις, οἵους διωγμοὺς ὑπήνεγκα· καὶ ἐκ πάντων με ἐρρύσατο ὁ κύριος. |
| 3:12 Y también todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús padecerán persecución; |
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. |
12 καὶ πάντες δὲ οἱ θέλοντες εὐσεβῶς ζῆν ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ διωχθήσονται· |
| 3:13 mas los malos hombres y los engañadores irán de mal en peor, engañando y siendo engañados. |
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. |
13 πονηροὶ δὲ ἄνθρωποι καὶ γόητες προκόψουσιν ἐπὶ τὸ χεῖρον, πλανῶντες καὶ πλανώμενοι. |
| 3:14 Pero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quién has aprendido; |
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; |
14 σὺ δὲ μένε ἐν οἷς ἔμαθες καὶ ἐπιστώθης, εἰδὼς παρὰ τίνων ἔμαθες, |
| 3:15 y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salvación por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús. |
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. |
15 καὶ ὅτι ἀπὸ βρέφους τὰ ἱερὰ γράμματα οἶδας, τὰ δυνάμενά σε σοφίσαι εἰς σωτηρίαν διὰ πίστεως τῆς ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ. |
| 3:16 Toda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios, y útil para enseñar, para redargüir, para corregir, para instruir en justicia, |
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: |
16 πᾶσα γραφὴ θεόπνευστος καὶ ὠφέλιμος πρὸς διδασκαλίαν, πρὸς ἐλεγμόν, πρὸς ἐπανόρθωσιν, πρὸς παιδείαν τὴν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ, |
| 3:17 a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente preparado para toda buena obra. |
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. |
17 ἵνα ἄρτιος ᾖ ὁ τοῦ θεοῦ ἄνθρωπος, πρὸς πᾶν ἔργον ἀγαθὸν ἐξηρτισμένος. |
| 4:1 Te encarezco delante de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, que juzgará a los vivos y a los muertos en su manifestación y en su reino, |
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; |
1 διαμαρτύρομαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ, τοῦ μέλλοντος κρίνειν ζῶντας καὶ νεκρούς, καὶ τὴν ἐπιφάνειαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ· |
| 4:2 que prediques la palabra; que instes a tiempo y fuera de tiempo; redarguye, reprende, exhorta con toda paciencia y doctrina. |
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. |
2 κήρυξον τὸν λόγον, ἐπίστηθι εὐκαίρως ἀκαίρως, ἔλεγξον, ἐπιτίμησον, παρακάλεσον, ἐν πάσῃ μακροθυμίᾳ καὶ διδαχῇ. |
| 4:3 Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no sufrirán la sana doctrina, sino que teniendo comezón de oír, se amontonarán maestros conforme a sus propias concupiscencias, |
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; |
3 ἔσται γὰρ καιρὸς ὅτε τῆς ὑγιαινούσης διδασκαλίας οὐκ ἀνέξονται, ἀλλὰ κατὰ τὰς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας ἑαυτοῖς ἐπισωρεύσουσιν διδασκάλους κνηθόμενοι τὴν ἀκοήν, |
| 4:4 y apartarán de la verdad el oído y se volverán a las fábulas. |
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. |
4 καὶ ἀπὸ μὲν τῆς ἀληθείας τὴν ἀκοὴν ἀποστρέψουσιν, ἐπὶ δὲ τοὺς μύθους ἐκτραπήσονται. |
| 4:5 Pero tú sé sobrio en todo, soporta las aflicciones, haz obra de evangelista, cumple tu ministerio. |
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. |
5 σὺ δὲ νῆφε ἐν πᾶσιν, κακοπάθησον, ἔργον ποίησον εὐαγγελιστοῦ, τὴν διακονίαν σου πληροφόρησον. |
| 4:6 Porque yo ya estoy para ser sacrificado, y el tiempo de mi partida está cercano. |
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. |
6 ἐγὼ γὰρ ἤδη σπένδομαι, καὶ ὁ καιρὸς τῆς ἀναλύσεώς μου ἐφέστηκεν. |
| 4:7 He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe. |
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: |
7 τὸν καλὸν ἀγῶνα ἠγώνισμαι, τὸν δρόμον τετέλεκα, τὴν πίστιν τετήρηκα· |
| 4:8 Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no sólo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida. |
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. |
8 λοιπὸν ἀπόκειταί μοι ὁ τῆς δικαιοσύνης στέφανος, ὃν ἀποδώσει μοι ὁ κύριος ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, ὁ δίκαιος κριτής, οὐ μόνον δὲ ἐμοὶ ἀλλὰ καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς ἠγαπηκόσι τὴν ἐπιφάνειαν αὐτοῦ. |
| 4:9 Procura venir pronto a verme, |
Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: |
9 σπούδασον ἐλθεῖν πρός με ταχέως· |
| 4:10 porque Demas me ha desamparado, amando este mundo, y se ha ido a Tesalónica. Crescente fue a Galacia, y Tito a Dalmacia. |
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. |
10 δημᾶς γάρ με ἐγκατέλιπεν ἀγαπήσας τὸν νῦν αἰῶνα, καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς θεσσαλονίκην, κρήσκης εἰς γαλατίαν, τίτος εἰς δαλματίαν· |
| 4:11 Sólo Lucas está conmigo. Toma a Marcos y tráele contigo, porque me es útil para el ministerio. |
Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. |
11 λουκᾶς ἐστιν μόνος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ. μᾶρκον ἀναλαβὼν ἄγε μετὰ σεαυτοῦ, ἔστιν γάρ μοι εὔχρηστος εἰς διακονίαν. |
| 4:12 A Tíquico lo envié a Efeso. |
And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. |
12 τυχικὸν δὲ ἀπέστειλα εἰς ἔφεσον. |
| 4:13 Trae, cuando vengas, el capote que dejé en Troas en casa de Carpo, y los libros, mayormente los pergaminos. |
The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. |
13 τὸν φαιλόνην ὃν ἀπέλιπον ἐν τρῳάδι παρὰ κάρπῳ ἐρχόμενος φέρε, καὶ τὰ βιβλία, μάλιστα τὰς μεμβράνας. |
| 4:14 Alejandro el calderero me ha causado muchos males; el Señor le pague conforme a sus hechos. |
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: |
14 ἀλέξανδρος ὁ χαλκεὺς πολλά μοι κακὰ ἐνεδείξατο· ἀποδώσει αὐτῶ ὁ κύριος κατὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ· |
| 4:15 Guárdate tú también de él, pues en gran manera se ha opuesto a nuestras palabras. |
Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. |
15 ὃν καὶ σὺ φυλάσσου, λίαν γὰρ ἀντέστη τοῖς ἡμετέροις λόγοις. |
| 4:16 En mi primera defensa ninguno estuvo a mi lado, sino que todos me desampararon; no les sea tomado en cuenta. |
At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. |
16 ἐν τῇ πρώτῃ μου ἀπολογίᾳ οὐδείς μοι παρεγένετο, ἀλλὰ πάντες με ἐγκατέλιπον· μὴ αὐτοῖς λογισθείη· |
| 4:17 Pero el Señor estuvo a mi lado, y me dio fuerzas, para que por mí fuese cumplida la predicación, y que todos los gentiles oyesen. Así fui librado de la boca del león. |
Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. |
17 ὁ δὲ κύριός μοι παρέστη καὶ ἐνεδυνάμωσέν με, ἵνα δι᾽ ἐμοῦ τὸ κήρυγμα πληροφορηθῇ καὶ ἀκούσωσιν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, καὶ ἐρρύσθην ἐκ στόματος λέοντος. |
| 4:18 Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala, y me preservará para su reino celestial. A él sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. |
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
18 ῥύσεταί με ὁ κύριος ἀπὸ παντὸς ἔργου πονηροῦ καὶ σώσει εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ τὴν ἐπουράνιον, ᾧ ἡ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων· ἀμήν. |
| 4:19 Saluda a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la casa de Onesíforo. |
Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. |
19 ἄσπασαι πρίσκαν καὶ ἀκύλαν καὶ τὸν ὀνησιφόρου οἶκον. |
| 4:20 Erasto se quedó en Corinto, y a Trófimo dejé en Mileto enfermo. |
Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick. |
20 ἔραστος ἔμεινεν ἐν κορίνθῳ, τρόφιμον δὲ ἀπέλιπον ἐν μιλήτῳ ἀσθενοῦντα. |
| 4:21 Procura venir antes del invierno. Eubulo te saluda, y Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos. |
Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren. |
21 σπούδασον πρὸ χειμῶνος ἐλθεῖν. ἀσπάζεταί σε εὔβουλος καὶ πούδης καὶ λίνος καὶ κλαυδία καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ πάντες. |
| 4:22 El Señor Jesucristo esté con tu espíritu. La gracia sea con vosotros. Amén. |
The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen. |
22 ὁ κύριος μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματός σου. ἡ χάρις μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν. |
