| 1:14 Y la mayoría de los hermanos, cobrando ánimo en el Señor con mis prisiones, se atreven mucho más a hablar la palabra sin temor. | And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. | 14 καὶ τοὺς πλείονας τῶν ἀδελφῶν ἐν κυρίῳ πεποιθότας τοῖς δεσμοῖς μου περισσοτέρως τολμᾶν ἀφόβως τὸν λόγον λαλεῖν. |
| 1:15 Algunos, a la verdad, predican a Cristo por envidia y contienda; pero otros de buena voluntad. | Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: | 15 τινὲς μὲν καὶ διὰ φθόνον καὶ ἔριν, τινὲς δὲ καὶ δι᾽ εὐδοκίαν τὸν χριστὸν κηρύσσουσιν· |

| 1:23 Porque de ambas cosas estoy puesto en estrecho, teniendo deseo de partir y estar con Cristo, lo cual es muchísimo mejor; | For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: | 23 συνέχομαι δὲ ἐκ τῶν δύο, τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν ἔχων εἰς τὸ ἀναλῦσαι καὶ σὺν χριστῶ εἶναι, πολλῶ γὰρ μᾶλλον κρεῖσσον· |
| 1:24 pero quedar en la carne es más necesario por causa de vosotros. | Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. | 24 τὸ δὲ ἐπιμένειν ἐν τῇ σαρκὶ ἀναγκαιότερον δι᾽ ὑμᾶς. |
| 1:25 Y confiado en esto, sé que quedaré, que aún permaneceré con todos vosotros, para vuestro provecho y gozo de la fe, | And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; | 25 καὶ τοῦτο πεποιθὼς οἶδα ὅτι μενῶ καὶ παραμενῶ πᾶσιν ὑμῖν εἰς τὴν ὑμῶν προκοπὴν καὶ χαρὰν τῆς πίστεως, |

| 1:27 Solamente que os comportéis como es digno del evangelio de Cristo, para que o sea que vaya a veros, o que esté ausente, oiga de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu, combatiendo unánimes por la fe del evangelio, | Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; | 27 μόνον ἀξίως τοῦ εὐαγγελίου τοῦ χριστοῦ πολιτεύεσθε, ἵνα εἴτε ἐλθὼν καὶ ἰδὼν ὑμᾶς εἴτε ἀπὼν ἀκούω τὰ περὶ ὑμῶν, ὅτι στήκετε ἐν ἑνὶ πνεύματι, μιᾷ ψυχῇ συναθλοῦντες τῇ πίστει τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, |
| 1:28 y en nada intimidados por los que se oponen, que para ellos ciertamente es indicio de perdición, mas para vosotros de salvación; y esto de Dios. | And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. | 28 καὶ μὴ πτυρόμενοι ἐν μηδενὶ ὑπὸ τῶν ἀντικειμένων, ἥτις ἐστὶν αὐτοῖς ἔνδειξις ἀπωλείας, ὑμῶν δὲ σωτηρίας, καὶ τοῦτο ἀπὸ θεοῦ· |
| 1:29 Porque a vosotros os es concedido a causa de Cristo, no sólo que creáis en él, sino también que padezcáis por él, | For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; | 29 ὅτι ὑμῖν ἐχαρίσθη τὸ ὑπὲρ χριστοῦ, οὐ μόνον τὸ εἰς αὐτὸν πιστεύειν ἀλλὰ καὶ τὸ ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ πάσχειν, |

| 2:19 Espero en el Señor Jesús enviaros pronto a Timoteo, para que yo también esté de buen ánimo al saber de vuestro estado; | But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. | 19 ἐλπίζω δὲ ἐν κυρίῳ ἰησοῦ τιμόθεον ταχέως πέμψαι ὑμῖν, ἵνα κἀγὼ εὐψυχῶ γνοὺς τὰ περὶ ὑμῶν. |
| 2:20 pues a ninguno tengo del mismo ánimo, y que tan sinceramente se interese por vosotros. | For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. | 20 οὐδένα γὰρ ἔχω ἰσόψυχον ὅστις γνησίως τὰ περὶ ὑμῶν μεριμνήσει, |
| 2:21 Porque todos buscan lo suyo propio, no lo que es de Cristo Jesús. | For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. | 21 οἱ πάντες γὰρ τὰ ἑαυτῶν ζητοῦσιν, οὐ τὰ ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ. |
| 2:22 Pero ya conocéis los méritos de él, que como hijo a padre ha servido conmigo en el evangelio. | But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. | 22 τὴν δὲ δοκιμὴν αὐτοῦ γινώσκετε, ὅτι ὡς πατρὶ τέκνον σὺν ἐμοὶ ἐδούλευσεν εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον. |
| 2:23 Así que a éste espero enviaros, luego que yo vea cómo van mis asuntos; | Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. | 23 τοῦτον μὲν οὗν ἐλπίζω πέμψαι ὡς ἂν ἀφίδω τὰ περὶ ἐμὲ ἐξαυτῆς· |
