The Ketuvim (Writings) or Hebrew literary books, are subdivided into three major parts: Wisdom Literature, Megillot (scrolls), and Histories (which, somewhat strangely, includes Daniel, an apocalyptic book).

Wisdom Literature

Wisdom literature is a series of writings including the Psalms, the Book of Proverbs, the book of Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs (Song of Solomon), the Book of Job, and the Wisdom of Sirach.

Megillot (Scrools)

Megillot are a group of five specific books from the Hebrew Bible, known as the Five Scrolls, which include the Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, and Esther. These books are traditionally read during specific Jewish holidays throughout the year.

Histories

The Hebrew Bible contains several historical books that provide insights into the history and religious practices of the Jewish people. Among these, Daniel, Ezra, and Chronicles are particularly significant.
